  The Rural Retreat Town Council and the Rural Retreat Planning Commission will hold a special meeting to conduct a Joint Public Hearing on Monday, December 19, 2011, 7:00 p.m. at the Rural Retreat Town Hall. The purpose of this special meeting and Public Hearing is to receive comments from citizens prior to the Town Council and Planning Commission’s consideration to issue a Conditional Use Permit to allow a doublewide manufactured modular home to be located at 232 East Baumgardner Avenue.   The Town of Rural Retreat is seeking interested persons to participate in the Rural Retreat PRIDE Committee. This Committee will serve as an advisory group to assist the Town in creating a Downtown Revitalization Plan. The Town is interested in pursuing funds to regenerate the downtown corridor.
