The Town of Rural Retreat is seeking applications for the following position:

Town Manager

SALARY: DOQ/DOE (+) benefits. (Pop 1,300) Located in Wythe County. 6-member non-partisan town council and a mayor elected every 4 years to staggered terms. Responsibilities include supervision and management of 10 FT and 1 PT employees in areas of administration, finance, public utilities, water, waste water, planning, zoning and information technology. Should have considerable knowledge in budgeting, financial management, public water and sewer administration, economic development, grant applications. Must have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to manage and delegate to an experienced team. Qualifications include min. BA/BS degree in public administration or related field. Prefer 3-5 yrs. exper. in local govt. management. Residency req'd within 1 yr. Qualified applicants should only apply.
